The 113th Annual meeting of the Texas Academy of Science will be held at Tarleton State University Center in Stephenville, Texas, March 4th through 6th, 2010.
This notice serves as a call for abstracts and all members are invited and encouraged to present some aspect of their scholarly work in a contributed presentation, contributed poster, or invited symposium. Each contributed presentation, poster, or symposium presentation requires an abstract. The abstracts and final program will be available online at the Texas Academy of Science web site prior to the meeting. Hard copies of the conference abstracts will be distributed for a fee of $5 to conference participants who choose to pay for a printed copy when they preregister.

Submission of Abstracts - Deadline: Midnight, Saturday December 19, 2009
After December 19, contact the Program Chair about submitting late-breaking abstracts.
Electronic submission of abstracts is required.
Notice of successful submission will be emailed to the author, the TAS Program Chair and the section chairmen.

RESEARCH PRESENTATIONS
Research presentations will be 20 minutes in length. This normally includes a 17-18 minute oral presentation with 2 to 3 minutes for questions and discussion. Research presentations will be given during individual sessions in the areas of scientific interest above. Student presentations, by both graduate and undergraduate, are invited and encouraged in all areas of research.
All presentation rooms will be equipped with computers and data projectors capable of PowerPoint and Internet presentations. Presentations should be in PowerPoint format and stored on CD-Rom or USB drive. Other audio-visual equipment needs will be provided by special request only.
POSTERS
Posters displaying the results of scientific research, applied and theoretical, will be accepted on a space-available basis. Contributed posters must be designed to fit a bulletin board that is 36" tall and 48" wide.
